Class is 4 hours long
In this beginning class students will print their own business cards (or calling cards) and learn the basics* of printing with photopolymer plates on a proof press. This a great way to get your toes wet and get a feel for how letterpress works. Students will either choose a design from the options right here or else submit their own design in advance. (Designs must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 24th at 6pm) Everyone will print 250 one-color business cards printed in navy blue ink on Crane’s white cotton paper. Lite Snacks included.
BRING TO CLASS: An apron (if you want), Something to write with, and something to take notes on.)
LOCATION: The class will take place at Ferney Art Studios 766 Valencia Street Suite 23 (on the second floor) San Francisco, CA It is two blocks from the 16th Street Bart Station. There is street parking in that neighborhood. If possible, please don't park at the meters on Valencia Street as you'll need to feed the meters during class.

We don’t offer refunds on classes, so make sure you can attend before you sign up. If you discover you are unable to attend, email firstname.lastname@example.org and if we are able to fill your spot with someone from the wait list then we can offer you a full refund. Another option is class spots are transferable so you may sell the spot to a friend and send them in your place. Once the designs have been submitted and the plates are made there are no transfers.
